Colorado Avalanche veteran issues shocking statement regarding Gabriel Landeskog's return

Tomorrow night the Avalanche and Stars will be facing off for Game-Three at 7:30PM MT, back at home ice at Ball Arena for continue their seventh playoff series matchup in history.

The Stars lead the Avalanche 4-2 in the series. If Landeskog does make a return to the lineup, the Avalanche could put the Stars in the rearview mirror.

However, the series is currently tied at 1-1 following a tough OT loss on Monday night.

For Drouin, being a member of the Avalanche for two years, he may not have known Landeskog personally, but he understands the weight of his return to the locker room.

Landeskog's a respected leader in the Avs locker room, and gives the team an emotional spark to the team despite missing game-one, and game two. But according to recent reports it's very likely that Landeskog will play in game-three as he was active IR.

As Drouin mentions, he's been an impact player for the Avalanche and could be a tipping point in the series, should the team be lucky enough to have him medically cleared to return.

Landeskog recently played two games in the AHL with the Colorado Eagles during a conditioning stint. It seemed like a return to form for him, as he posted a total of 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) in two games with the team.

The last time Landeskog suited up in 2022, he scored 59 points (30 goals, 29 assists) and helped the team win a Stanley Cup.
