Following the Avalanche's game on Thursday night, head coach Jared Bednar sent his team a strong message after they clinched their spot in the 2024-25 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
On Thursday, despite facing flight delays due to severe weather conditions in Chicago, the Colorado Avalanche showed up in Columbus ready to play and managed to take a 7-3 victory.
Along with that victory the Avalanche managed to pull through and tally an impressive 47-26-4 record for a total of 98 points. Which ultimately led them to clinching their spot in this year's playoffs.

Alone with clinching their eighth consecutive postseason appearance, it was a very special night for star defenseman Cale Marak as he becomes the first defenseman to hit 30 goals in a season since the 2008-09 season.

However, following the game head coach Jared Bednar faced the media and issued a message to his team, along with acknowledging all their hard work leading up to this point in the season.

Just like he said, the Avalanche still have a few games remaining of the season and now is no time to get comfortable as they will face the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.
Along with likely facing the Dallas Stars in the first round of the playoffs.
