For the first time ever, hockey fans will have the unique opportunity to purchase used hear from the Colorado Avalanche.
Hundreds, possibly even thousands, of sticks, gloves, helmets, pads, skates, pucks, and more will be up for grabs at this weekend's groundbreaking Avalanche Hockey Equipment Sale .
Avalanche fans receive a chance of a lifetime.
Stephanie Butzer from Denver 7 reports that spokesperson from Kroenke Sports & Entertainment confirmed that nearly every item available, used by players from both the Avalanche and Colorado Eagles during the 2024-25 season, was worn or used in games or practices.
Fans can expect to find thousands of items with prices starting as low as $10.
"The spokesperson said the real opportunity is for amateur hockey players, who can save money on the top-tier gear that is typically very costly if purchased brand new." -Butzer
All funds raised from this event will support Kroenke Sports Charities , which aims "to serve our community through education, health and fitness initiatives, athletic programs, and direct aid, especially focusing on families, children, veterans, and individuals with disabilities," as stated on their website.
The event takes place from 3pm to 5pm at Ball Arena's East Atrium. Admission is free but requires a ticket. Collectors are welcome, though there are limits on the number of items each person can purchase. Only credit cards will be accepted.
Since every item was used by professional players, no youth-sized equipment will be available at the sale.
