Jackie Kay from Mile High Sticking writes that when the Avalanche preseason schedule was released, it was noted that the September 21 split-squad game wouldn't be in Utah.

"If that's still not enough hockey for you, there's another game on the schedule in which Avalanche legends will face-off against University of Denver alumni at Magness Arena on August 24th at 5 p.m." -Jay
Both Cale Makar and Devon Toews earned spots on the NHL Network's Top 20 defensemen list, an achievement that should make both the Colorado Avalanche and Team Canada very proud.
"Finally, it's pretty crazy that Nathan MacKinnon and Joe Sakic have produced the exact same number of points in the exact same number of games through their Avalanche careers." -Kay
Fans have plenty to look forward to as the Colorado Avalanche gear up to celebrate their 30th anniversary season.
