The Colorado Avalanche are entering this season with an impressive lineup, however, there still remains doubt for the fourth line forwards. With a lot of young players vying for roster spots, it may only be through experience that they find some depth.
The Avalanche could look to try adding some veterans on the team before the start of the season.
Avalanche should consider some late additions before start of the season.
Graham Tiedtke from Mile High Sticking reported the potential need for some added experience on the bottom lines for the Avalanche.
"Another possibility is the team looking at the free agent market for fourth line depth. These players are not meant to be a huge impact on a team-otherwise, they'd be on a team already. Some players are just trying to catch on with a team to continue their careers." -Tiedtke
One name Tiedtke pointed out was Jack Roslovic. The former first rounder is only 29 years old and has had 40 point seasons in the past. He will not blow anyone away with his play by any means, but he can contribute some added offensive support when needed.
"He had 22 goals and 17 assists in 81 games for Carolina last season. He, along with two other players, was connected to the Avalanche by Nestor Quixtan over here at Mile High Sticking in May." -Tiedtke
The other two players were Robby Fabbri and
Kasperi Kapanen, with only Fabbri still available.
With the preseason right around the corner, the clock is ticking for the Avalanche to make a move and help bolster the bottom part of the lineup. Unless they feel that all the young prospects are going to deliver as intended, there should be a late addition expected in the near future.
