Former Avalanche goalie keeps his NHL dream alive with divisional rival

Former Colorado Avalanche goaltender Antoine Bibeau is refusing to let go of his NHL dream, now taking his talents to the Dallas Stars, a divisional rival that could offer him the fresh start he's been chasing.
After spending the last two seasons overseas, Bibeau has returned to North America, signing a professional tryout with Dallas.

Jacob Titus from The Hockey News writes that Bibeau, 31, appeared in 35 games last season with KooKoo in Finland's top men's league, posting a .905 save percentage, tied for fifth among starters with at least 30 games played.
The Victoriaville, Quebec native has appeared in four NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche, posting a .907 save percentage, while also serving as a backup for the Seattle Kraken and San Jose Sharks.
"If the 6-foot-3 netminder gets signed, it would likely be as AHL depth so that the Texas Stars remain afloat if Remi Poirier were to get called up if one of Oettinger or DeSmith goes down with injury." -Titus
He last played in North America during the 2022-23 campaign, suiting up for the Belleville Senators, the AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, where he provided veteran depth and stability in the crease before heading overseas.
Bibeau, a former sixth-round pick by the Maple Leafs in the 2013 NHL Draft, has spent the past decade carving out a career that's taken him through the NHL, AHL, and most recently Europe as he continues to chase his dream at the highest level.
