NHL releases shocking news concerning Colorado Avalanche forward

In just 43 regular-season games, Drouin registered 37 points (11 goals, 26 assists), setting a personal best with 0.86 points per game and a career-high shooting percentage of 19.6%.

Coby Maeir from NHL.com writes that Drouin recorded six separate multi-game point streaks during the season, including a standout four-game stretch from March 20-27 in which he racked up seven points (1 goal, 6 assists). He also notched 13 multi-point games and a pair of multi-goal contests.

One of the Avalanche's most memorable goals and standout moments of the season came from Drouin during their second matchup with the Buffalo Sabres on January 2. With Colorado trailling 3-0 in the second period and still down 5-3 with under three minutes to go, Drouin delivered the dramatic equalizer, tying the game with just eight seconds in regulation.

Maeir also writes that another clutch goal from Drouin came in the Avalanche's 7-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 8. Trailing 4-2 with just over seven minutes left in the second period, Colorado began their comeback with a goal from Joel Kiviranta at 15:11. Drouin then tied the game at 11:55 of the third, setting the stage for the Avs to pull away.

As the offseason begins, Drouin is set to become an unrestricted free agent. Looking ahead to the 2025-26 season, he's just 33 assists shy of reaching 300 for his career and 26 points away from hitting the 400-point milestone.
