After a recent announcement confirmed that Colorado Avalanche's captain Gabriel Landeskog will be joining the Colorado Eagles on a conditioning stint, some new details have emerged.
The Colorado Avalanche shocked fans this morning when they announced that Gabriel Landeskog will be making a comeback to the NHL.
Many felt like it would be impossible, and we may never see Landeskog in the NHL ever again after suffering an injury in 2022 that has not allowed him to play a game since, but now the Avalanche have confirmed that Landeskog is one step closer to returning.

Right after the news broke, some new details have surfaced on his situation, as he joins the Eagles on a conditioning stint.
New Details Emerge On Landeskog's Return
It was revealed that Landeskog is going to practice today with the Colorado Eagles, and then after that more updates will come out in the coming days.
He will practice with the Eagles today, more updates to come soon.
It was also revealed that Gabriel Landeskog's contract will not affect the Colorado Avalanche considering he is going on a 'conditioning stint'.
If Landeskog were to join the Avalanche before the end of the regular season, his cap would affect the Avalanche, but if he waits until game one of the playoffs to join the Avalanche then it wouldn't as there is no cap hit in the playoffs.
Why Landeskog's games with Eagles won't count against the cap
There is a really good chance that we see landeskog make his return during the playoffs, and this just furthers the Avalanche's chances at winning the Stanley Cup this year.
