Fans left questioning after Avalanche opening night roster leaked in latest report

The Colorado Avalanche have wrapped up their preseason campaign and now turn their focus to starting their Stanley Cup pursuit on the right foot, which begins with assembling the strongest possible roster for the NHL season opener.
There have been many discussions this past summer over the Avalanche's projected lineup, and soon, all of our questions will finally be addressed.
The projected roster for the Colorado Avalanche's season opener has been unveiled.
Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now gave his predictions for the Tuesday night's opening night roster against the Los Angeles Kings.
"After more than two weeks of training camp and six preseason games, the lineup looks to be all but completed for the deepest Avalanche October roster in years." -Deen
After weeks of speculation about Gabriel Landeskog's status and how the Avalanche would shape their bottom six, the team now seems to have a clearer picture of the 13 forwards set to begin the season.

Given how well Drury and Bardakov have been performing, it's no surprise they're expected to be in the lineup for the season opener. On the defensive side, there was less uncertainty, as the six roster spots were largely predictable.
The only slight surprise is that Middleton, who was expected to skate alongside Brent Burns, will likely be replaced by Malinski on the third defensive pairing.
In goal, things are straightforward: with Mackenzie Blackwood still sidelined by injury, Scott Wedgewood and Trent Miner are set to start the season as the Avalanche's netminders.
