The Colorado Avalanche are heading into game three tonight and recent reports I have suggested that Jared Bednar is going to make some pretty big changes to the lines.
During the first game, Colorado dominated the Dallas Stars beating them five to one. Nathan McKinnon played a huge role in the avalanches first win picking up two goals along with an assist.
Drying their second game, the Avalanche ended up blowing a third period lead allowing Dallas to tie a game late in the third and force overtime.
The Stars end up beating Colorado 4 to 3 and overtime taking game two and tying the series at one apiece.
The Avalanche head to home ice and it seems like some big changes may be coming to the lineup for tonight's game.
With the series tide 1-1, Jared Bednar met with the media and it seems like some changes may be coming to the Avalanches lineup for game three.
When meeting with the media, Bednar stated that he isn't getting enough offence out of the second line and that's been a problem for them.
He did say he's happy with how the second line is playing defensively, but is considering making changes to it to bring more offence.
Bednar says he's been happy with the 2nd line defensively but is considering mixing things up.
«We need to get some offense out of those guysbut a second line, it's very important that they create some offense and they haven't been creating much offense as a line.»
Avalanche take on the Dallas tonight at 9:30 PM in a crucial game. It will be interesting to see if Bednar does go through with any of these changes.
