Colorado Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar Issued A Bold Statement Ahead Of Game Four
Colorado Avalanche's head coach Jared Bednar was not worried following their game three loss, and issued a bold statement heading into game four.
The Colorado Avalanche opened the scoring pretty quickly during game three scoring a goal just over 8 minutes into the first period.
This stood as the only goal of the game for awhile, as the next goal was scored by the Dallas Stars nearly 10 minutes into the third period, tying the game at one.
The Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars stayed tied at 1 a piece for the remainder of regulation, and the game ended up going into overtime.
Just over 5 minutes into the overtime period, the Dallas Stars ended up scoring the game winning goal.
The Avalanche's power play has been a big issue for them this series. In game one they went 1-for-4, in game two they went 1-for-3 and in game three they went 0-for-6 scoring just two power play goals in 13 opportunities.
If the Avalanche could've scored just one power play goal in game three, it could have been the difference in them winning or losing the game. This is something that needs to quickly be fixed by the Avs.
Bednar Issued A Bold Statement
Even with the struggles the Avalanche are having right now, head coach Jared Bednar issued a bold statement entering game four.
After their loss, Bednar went on to state that it's a seven game series for a reason, and did not seem too worried at all.
"It's a 7-game series for a reason."

The Avalanche have yet to get depth scoring from some newly acquired players they got at the
NHL trade deadline, and this has also played a huge part in why they are trailing 2-1.
Game four is tonight, when the Colorado Avalanche look to tie the series at 2 a piece.
