Avalanche captain teases fans with what's to come this season after latest performance

Despite losing the game 2-1, Landeskog scored the lone goal for the Avalanche and gave fans a glimpse of what to expect from their captain this season.
Gabriel Landeskog lights the lamp in Wednesday's preseason clash against Vegas.
Coby Maeir from NHL.com writes that the Avalanche fell 2-1 to the Golden Knights in preseason action Wednesday at T-Mobile Arena.
Landeskog scored the lone goal for Colorado, while goaltender
Scott Wedgewood turned aside 30 shots in a strong effort between the pipes.
Landeskog opened the scoring at 18:07 of the first period with via a right-circle wrist shot.
The Golden Knights then pulled ahead at 14:40 when
William Karlsson burried a shot from the slot to make it 2-1.
The Avalanche also saw their perfect 4-0 preseason run come to an end.
The Avalanche made another wave of roster cuts before the game reducing their training camp roster down to 29 players, which started at 51.
Wyatt Aamodt, Danil Gushchin, Maros Jedlicka, and Mark Senden are the most recent players to be reassigned to the AHL Colorado Eagles.
Mathis Langevin was reassigned to his junior club of Rimouski of the QMJHL.
The Avalanche conclude their preseason play on the road against the Dallas Stars on Saturday at 4 p.m. MT.
