Heading into game three tonight, a major development has surfaced in captain Gabriel Landeskog returning to the Avalanches lineup.

Gabriel Landeskog ended up going on a conditioning load with the Colorado Eagles, the Avalanches AHL affiliate, and things were looking good.
Landeskog looked really good for not playing a professional hockey game in nearly three years.
It looked like Landeskog was going to be good for game one of the playoffs with the Avalanche, but ultimately wasn't cleared to play.
In game two, Landeskog ended up taking warmups with the Avalanche, and there was a chance he was going to play, but ended up being a scratch just moments before the game.
Now leading into their game tonight a new development has surfaced in the Avalanche actually getting their captain back and it's looking good.
Head coach Jared Bernar stated that he's looking good, but he will have to see closer to the game.
Expectations for Gabe Landeskog from Jared Bednar on @AltitudeSR:

«We have to watch and see. Nobody really knows. I like what I'm seeing in practice I like what I'm seeing in preparation.»
Later on he told reporters that there is a very good chance that Landeskog returns tonight.
Jared Bednar said this morning that there's a «good chance» that Gabe Landeskog makes his return to the lineup tonight.
Fans are already getting excited, and there is a lot of anticipation heading into tonights game.
