Troubling news emerges for the Colorado Avalanche as star player is missing from practice

Definitely something to look out for as concerning news emerges from the Avalanche's practice this morning as, star forward is missing from practice for unknown reasons.

According to several reports, Colorado Avalanche star forward Nathan MacKinnon is missing for the team's morning practice for unknown reasons.

Now, we know that Jonathan Drouin is dealing with a lower-body injury after being injured while playing against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Jonathan Drouin took an awkward hit along the boards early in the game from a Blackhawks player, and the contact looked to hit him in his knee/lower thigh area.

He then exited the game after playing just seven shifts and did not return.

The reason that fans should be concerned about Nathan MacKinnon not being with the team during their practice on Monday morning, is that there hasn't been any updates as to why.

Usually if a players is missing from practice and it's due to illness or just a personal day, the head coach is quick to just announce that so speculation doesn't start.

However, that isn't the case with MacKinnon, there still hasn't been any updates on why he's missing. With the Avalanche only having four games remaining of the regular season, it would be very unfortunate if he has sustained an injury.

The Colorado Avalanche are expected to take on the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night at 7:30PM MT.
