An insider has revealed that Colorado Avalanche divisional rival Nashville Predators, are reportedly willing to part ways with Steven Stamkos, a two-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner, in what could be blockbuster move for the league.
A new report suggests that Stamkos could potentially land with the Montreal Canadiens in the near future.

Elias Edmonson from Habs Fanatics writes that a reunion between Steven Stamkos and Martin St-Louis could happen, especially if Patrik Laine leaves via free agency at season's end.

According to Marco D'Amico, a trade between the Canadiens and the Predators involving Stamkos is not on the table.

Landing a center like Nazem Kadri would be a far more logical move for Canadiens GM Kent Hughes.
Stamkos, 35, is a 6-foot-1, 193-pound forward who was the first overall pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2008. Last season, in his first year with the Predators, he tallied 53 points in 82 games, following an 81-point campaign (including 40 goals in 79 games) with Tampa in 2023-24.
